April 22, 2019 Flood Outlook Statement
The Quinte Conservation Watershed received less than the anticipated rainfall of 65 mm over the Easter weekend. Just over 15 mm of rainfall was recorded in the southern portions of the watershed. A high of 30 mm was recorded at the rain gauge on Hwy 7 near Deloro, along with 40 mm being recorded in the northern regions, including, at the Depot Lakes near Verona. Fire Hydrant Flushing
Ontario Clean Water Agency will be carrying out a fire hydrant flushing program in the Village of Tweed. In order to complete this program, the west side of the Village will be completed the first week and the east side of the village will be completed the second week. Hours of flushing will be between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The first week of flushing will commence on Tuesday April 9,

Garbage and recycling pickup in the village will take place as follows:

Potential Localized Flooding
ATTENTION RESIDENTS: Currently we are experiencing warmer temperatures both during the day and the evening which is causing localized flooding. We are hearing reports of flooding in basements. What we know is that we have a thick layer of ice on the ground beneath the snow. The ground is frozen which is causing pooling of water in and the water has no where to go. On the Quinte
