TWEED WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM INFORMATION CENTRE January 23, 2019 4:00pm - 7:00pm

NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE TWEED WASTE WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM – ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT

The Municipality of Tweed is undertaking a planning process to expand the Waste Water Treatment System for the community of Tweed. The Municipality has identified that the existing system is nearing its rated capacity for wastewater flows and treatment. In order to ensure adequate capacity exists for future demands and growth in the community, the Municipality is considering the construction of a third lagoon cell adjacent to the existing lagoons with additional mechanical treatment to improve effluent quality. The project is being carried out as a Schedule 'C' project under the terms of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) process. As part of the Class EA process, public input into the planning and design of this project is invited. The Municipality is conducting a public information centre on Wednesday January 23, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Lions Hungerford Hall, located at 65 Victoria St, Tweed, Ontario. Following this public consultation centre, further comments will be received until February 8, 2019. Parties interested in providing input or that wish to obtain additional information are asked to submit comments in writing to: Mr. Tony Guerrera, P.Eng.
