News & Notices
On behalf of Council and staff, I extend sincere best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season. At this wonderful time of year I hope all will be reminded of the importance of friends, family and community.
Here in The Municipality of Tweed we exemplify a true sense of community throughout the year, and especially during the holiday season. With our 10th Annual Festival of Trees and Annual Santa Claus Parade already behind us with much success, Tweed is truly the perfect home for the holiday season.
Of course, these community events and functions are not possible without the dedication of numerous volunteers who are committed to putting a smile on the faces of those young, and young at heart.
As we gather together this holiday season with friends, family, and loved ones, we at the Municipality hope all take time to reflect on everything we are so fortunate to have.
For those visiting our community for the holiday season we would like to welcome you to our corner of the Province, and hope you enjoy your stay with us. Be sure to visit our local shops and retailers to pick out any last minute gifts that are in need of being placed under the family tree. We hope you enjoy 'Experiencing Christmas in Tweed' this year.
We look forward to continued support and involvement from our residents, our businesses and most importantly our community volunteers. You are all the glue that holds our community together, and there is no place we would rather be than here at home in Tweed.
I hope you embrace the holiday season to the fullest, and that it brings you fond memories that will carry forward with you and your family for years to come.
Happy Holidays,
Jo-Anne Albert, Mayor
Municipality of Tweed
