January 4th Covid Update

Tweed, ON – The Municipality of Tweed is releasing the following information to the community with regards to the Province of Ontario’s recent Public Health Measures announcement which takes place January 5th, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. 

Administration

Administrative Office will be closed to the public. Staff will be available to answer the phone and e-mail during regular business hours.  For those requiring in person services, please ring the doorbell at our front door and one of our staff will aide you at the door. During the closure any payments or correspondence may be done by using the drop box at the front door, by mail, email or via electronic payment through your financial institution.  Council meetings will be available on the Municipality of Tweed YouTube page.  Please visit www.tweed.ca for available links.

Public Works

Public Works Department continues to operate as normal. 

Waste Disposal

Waste Disposal Site will remain open. Masks must be worn by all public and staff. There will be a maximum of 2 vehicles at the recycling depot at all times, and physical distancing must be maintained in all areas.

Tweed Community Centre

Tweed Community Centre (Arena) will remain closed until January 27, 2022, in accordance with the Province of Ontario recent Public Health Measures announcement. 

Tweed Fire Department

Tweed Fire Department will only be responding to 911 calls.

Tweed Public Library

Tweed Public Library will offer curb side pickup and will provide curb side service including printing of vaccination QR Codes.  Please call during regular library hours 613-478-1066 for additional details.
