Instructional Video - How To Complete Your Voting Kit
The following video has complete step-by-step instructions about how to successfully complete your voting kit so that your vote will be counted. Completed voter kits can be returned by mail or placed in the drop box at the Municipal Office. Voter kits being returned by mail should be returned by October 18th in order for them to be received by October 27th. Voter kits can be dropped off at the Municipal Office during regular office hours until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 24th. On Voting Day, Monday, October 27th, completed voter kits can be dropped off at the Voting Station at the Tweed Public Library, 230 Metcalf St., Tweed between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Are you on the Voters' List for the 2014 Municipal Election?
The Preliminary List of Electors (PLE) was delivered to the municipality on July 31, 2014. The Voters' List has been produced as of August 29, 2014 to be used in our office and by the election candidates. Commencing September 2, 2014 we will be able to make revisions to the Voters' List. Please visit the municipal office at 255 Metcalf Street in Tweed; call the municipal office at 613-478-2535; or email us to request staff to check the Voters' List for your name. You may also contact an election candidate to verify if you are on the Voters' List. It is possible to be on the Voters' List with an outdated mailing address so we can check that also to ensure that you will receive your Voter Kit when they are mailed out on September 26, 2014. Please be prepared to provide your full name, birth date, civic address, property roll number, and contact information when you call or email the Municipal Office.
Application To Amend The Voters' List (Form EL15)
Applications for revisions to the Voters' List must be on the above form which is also available for pick up from the Municipal Office during regular business hours. It must be fully completed and signed by the applicant. Applications may be filed in person or by mail by the applicant; or in person by his/her authorized agent. The forms cannot be faxed or emailed as we require original signatures in order to make changes to the Voters' List.

Voting Day is Monday, October 27, 2014.
The Municipality of Tweed will be utilizing "Vote By Mail" as in previous municipal elections.
Voter Kits are scheduled to be mailed out on September 29, 2014.
Prior to Voting Day your completed voter kits may be mailed in or submitted at the Tweed Municipal Office, 255 Metcalf St., Tweed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday (excluding Statutory Holidays).
If you are mailing your ballot kit you must mail it by October 18, 2014 in order for it to be received at the Tweed Municipal Office by Monday, October 27, 2014.
After October 18, 2014, and until 4:30 p.m. on October 24, 2014, you may drop off your completed ballot kit at the Tweed Municipal Office during regular business hours..
On Voting Day, Monday, October 27, 2014, you may drop off your completed ballot kit at the Voting Location at Tweed Public Library, 230 Metcalf Street, Tweed from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Ballots received after Monday, October 27, 2014 will not be counted.
