NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE TWEED WASTE WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM – ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
The Municipality of Tweed is undertaking a planning process to expand the Waste Water Treatment System for the community of Tweed. The Municipality has identified that the existing system is nearing its rated capacity for wastewater flows and treatment. In order to ensure adequate capacity exists for future demands and growth in the community, the Municipality is considering the construction of a third lagoon cell adjacent to the existing lagoons with additional mechanical treatment to improve effluent quality. The project is being carried out as a Schedule 'C' project under the terms of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) process. As part of the Class EA process, public input into the planning and design of this project is invited. The Municipality is conducting a public information centre on Wednesday January 23, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Lions Hungerford Hall, located at 65 Victoria St, Tweed, Ontario. Following this public consultation centre, further comments will be received until February 8, 2019. The Municipality is initiating a planning process to expand the wastewater treatment system. The existing system is nearing its rated capacity for wastewater flows and treatment. Measures must be taken to ensure adequate capacity exists for future demands and growth in the municipality.

DELEGATIONS AT COUNCIL MEETINGS
Any person, group or organization wishing to address Council shall notify the Clerk, in writing, during regular business hours. The notice must specify clearly the business to be presented, who the spokesperson will be, and the date of the meeting at which the delegation wishes to be heard.
The notice must be received by the Clerk no later than the end of the business day three working days immediately preceding the day of the meeting. For example, for a Tuesday evening meeting, the notice must be received by the end of the day on the previous Thursday.
Every delegation must provide, with their notice, a detailed summary of the information they wish to share with Council. This summary should be received no later than the end of the business day three working days immediately preceding the day of the meeting.
A delegation may address Council for a period not exceeding ten minutes during any meeting. Additional time may be provided at the discretion of the Chair. The Chair may invite questions from a delegation making a presentation to Council.
