Rick Fines Acoustic Guitar Workshop at the MAC

Rick Fines Acoustic Guitar Workshop at the MAC

Date:May 9, 2021
Time:2:00pm - 4:30pm
Location:Marble Arts Centre
Rick Fines will instruct this workshop ‘Acoustic Guitar: Improve Your Right Hand Techniques’ (cross genre). Steeped in roots music, Rick crafts a unique blend of warm-hearted blues, juke joint folk, and dockside soul that both embraces and defies the genres that influence him. As a veteran of the North American blues and folk circuits, he engages audiences with captivating songs, diverse guitar styling and his signature vocal growl. Rick’s storied career has seen him working in stellar collaboration and as a successful solo act. When not performing, he can be found teaching and sharing with students across Canada – including work with the Blues In The Schools programs in Tweed, Ottawa, Saskatoon, Toronto, and Yellowknife. He’s also participated in the Ontario Arts Council’s Artists in Education program. This will be a 2-hour workshop from 2:00 to 4:30 (1/2 hour break) at the Marble Arts Centre in Tweed. Fee is $25 per person. We appreciate the support of 'Blue Skies in the Community' in making this workshop possible. Rick will also be performing in concert at 7 p.m. that evening. Attend the workshop and the concert for $40 ($5 saving). Basic acoustic guitar skills are pre-requisite for this workshop; the number of participants will be limited, so don't wait to register on Eventbrite!
Admission Fee:$25
