Lyme disease is becoming alarmingly common as the ticks that carry it have expanded their range throughout southern Ontario. On February 7, learn what you need to know when the Hastings Stewardship Council hosts the second event in their 2019 Winter Speaker Series - Lyme disease info-night. Dr. Brenda Tapp is a naturopathic doctor and the clinic director of the Peterborough Centre of Naturopathic Medicine. In her presentation, she will explain: • Ticks: where they live and how to identify them • How to protect yourself from a bite • What to do when you have a bite and how to remove a tick • Symptoms of both acute and chronic Lyme disease • Testing available for Lyme disease • Treatment options, including pharmaceutical and naturopathic Cost is $5. (or a donation). Children are free.
