Transit Service
As a rural community the Muncipality of Tweed does not have public transit. However, we do recognize the need for transport services and will provide a listing of private business or volunteer organizations that can assist in getting you where you need to go:
Hastings Prince Edward Transportation Solutions
The mission is to create an integrated, barrier-free transportation system that gets people where they need to go. Their goal is that in five years the Transportation Steering Committee will have established a resident focused collaborative integrated transportation system that provides an easily accessible information portal of all local transportation resources and effectively and efficiently moves people to services within and outside of Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
Central Hastings Public Transit
The Central Hastings Public Transit System is an initiative of the Central Hastings Support Network, that provides a means for the general public of Central Hastings to travel within the local area in order to gain and maintain employment, further their education, obtain health care, attend to personal business, expand their social networks, etc. Schedule
Taxi Services
Community Carpool - There are a number of people to take up residence here in Tweed but travel to urban centres for work. Feel free to contact us to post information on any community carpooling that is taken place (Toronto, Kingston, Belleville, Ottawa, etc).
