LAND USE BY-LAW

Comprehensive Zoning By-Law No. 2012-30 was passed on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the Regular Council meeting held at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 255 Metcalf St. in Tweed.

Comprehensive Zoning By-Law No. 2012-30 brings the three municipalities which amalgamated in 1998 under one comprehensive zoning by-law to cover the entire municipality.

With the passage of Comprehensive Zoning By-Law No. 2012-30, the Village of Tweed Zoning By-Law No. 93-19; the Township of Hungerford Zoning By-Law No. 81-18; and the Township of Elzevir & Grimsthorpe Zoning By-Law No. 81-7 were repealed.

On July 22, 2013 the Ontario Municipal Board issued an Order that Zoning By-Law No. 2012-30 of the Municipality of Tweed, save and except the three appealed portions, shall be deemed to have come into force on September 25, 2012.
