By-Law Enforcement
The By-Law Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcing many of the municipality’s by-laws. Copies of municipal by-laws are available from the municipal office or by contacting the By-Law Enforcement Officer. Council generally passes from 30 to 50 by-laws in any year. Many of these by-laws pertain to specific properties, such as zoning amendment by-laws. Some of the by-laws which are passed apply to all properties and residents in the Municipality and pertain to such matters as traffic and parking; noise; property standards; animal control; special events; fees and charges; building and construction; signs.
