Poplars Golf Course is located on the east end of Stoco Lake, just minutes from the village. From the moment you arrive, you'll know why Poplars Golf is unlike any golf club you've experienced before. Enjoy the great atmosphere, the finely manicured grounds and don't forget the pleasure of their genuinely courteous staff.


The lake is about 5.4 kilometres (3.4 mi) long and 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) wide, and lies at an elevation of 138 metres (453 ft). There are two named islands, Butternut Island and Grant Island, and one bay, Cosy Cove at the northeast.
Sportfishing includes Walleye, Northern Pike, Large/Smallmouth Bass, and some of the best Muskie fishing in all of Ontario.

Cottages, homes, parks, trails, and wetlands make up the shores of Stoco.

Whether hiking, cycling, horseback riding, canoeing, ATVing or snowmobiling, are your pleasure, we have trails you’ll want to explore.
With trail networks spreading from the Bay of Quinte, all the way north to Algonquin Park, there are endless ways for you and your family to discover Ontario’s history, natural environment and rural communities. 

The river begins at Joeperry Lake (in Bon Echo Provincial Park), and flowing south it goes through Rainy Creek, Pearson Lake, Skootamatta Lake, Killer Creek, continues south over the Skootamatta Dam and reaches Slave Lake. It continues through Patridge Creek, and arrives in the community of Flinton. The Skootamatta River then flows over Flinton Dam, heads southwest, passes into Flinton Creek, Little Skootamatta Creek, and turns west just north of Hwy 7. The river then flows through Elzevir Creek and heads southwest under the highway at Actinolite and runs parallel to Hwy 37 until meeting up with the Moira River in the Village of Tweed.
GOLF

Poplars is an 18 hole, fully licenced course. Its affordable green fees and excellent membership rates have attracted cottage go'ers and travelers for over 50 years to come out for a day on the links.
